SDAX Newcomer Stratec

Image
❌✅✅✅✅ Todays' company is Stratec SE who has established itself as a market leader in the field of lab automatization. Especially in the field of in-vitro diagnostics and life science, they are a leading player. In-vitro diagnostics are tests done on samples such as blood or tissues that have been taken from the human body. The reason why it came up on my list, is not that is a newcomer in the German Small Cap Index, rather it was the biggest loser today in the SDAX with a negative 4.21% and the closing price at €113.80 ! We always start with the chart to get a feeling of where we are The 52-week high was €145 and the 52-week low was €74.50, which means we a very close to the €145 mark, which I now see is the all-time high mark - I already know now that I will not buy it! ❌ If I look at the bottom of the chart above, I see the development of the last 1,3,5 and 10-year, which is +36% , +65% , +143% , +298% !  The 10-year chart will give us an long-term understanding What a grap

It has been trending downward since the peak in 2017 The 1-year chart The low in November-20 was lower than the low in March-20, which is unusual and it is hoovering between €65 and €85! The shareholder structure Spanish ACS Group (one of the leading global construction companies) is the majority holder with 50%, Atlantia Spa, an Italian holding company active in infrastructure companies, next up with 18% and top funds such as Vanguard and Blackrock give me a quality stamp! ✅ Turn to the balance sheet and Assets f

Software AG - Germany 2nd largest SW company

Image
✅✅✅✅✅ Software AG is offering a software platform for digital business application such as a company core processes in integration, process management, realtime analysis and IT Architecture!  I found this company as it today was the "biggest looser" on the German Stock exchange MDAX, Germany's next biggest Index after the DAX, with a -2.32% decline! The stock closed today at €35.44 - the 52-week high was at €44.50 and the 52-week low at €30.20. ✅ Let's look how the company stock price has developed the last years... The 1-y, 3y, 5y and 10 year performance is +16%, -11%, +7%, -10% => up, down, up, down What does the 10-year chart says us A long upward trend from the big drop since mid 2014, a first steeper upward trend until 2018, and then up again and then down! It look likes that we are somewhere in the middle of the chart✅ The 1 year chart: We see the upward trend since November 2020 and that we are hitting a roof (resistance level) at €37 The shareholder struct

LPKF - Laser manufacturing solutions

✅✅✅✅✅ LPKF is a provider of laser based system which are essential in production of printed circuit boards, microchips, automotive parts, solar panels etc. The 1 year chart looks like this The 52-week high is €33.35 and the 52-week low is €15.28, so with friday's close date of €23.08, we are right in the middle.  The development in 1y, 3y, 5y and 10year are all well positive with respective 13%, 173%, 219%, 231%! ✅  This is the 10 year chart This doesn't say much to me - only that there was a peak in 2014, than it went sideways for 3-4 years and since 2019 it is on a steep way up!✅ The 1 year chart looks like this There seems to be some kind of support and resistance level at €24, since Nov 20' upwards trends, which ended in Feb-Mar 21 and seems to downward trending since then! Stockholders view of LPKF: Here we have some big star funds, e.g. Capital Group with over 13%! Surprisingly no Blackrock here! ✅ The balance sheet asset side:  The assets have increase a little bit,

Next on my list - SGL Carbon

Image
❌❌❌❌ - Turnaround SGL Carbon SGL Carbon is the world leading manufacturer of carbon and graphite materials, that are mainly used in automobiles and airplanes to reduce weight, chemicals to mix into other materials, and for solar panels and wind-power plants! We see that something happened the last 6 months, as the course went up a lot. The 10-year respective 5 and 3-year shows a decline! The 52-week high is €7.52 and the 52-week low is €2.43 compared to the actual stock price of €5.95. We are closer to the high, but still a way to go!  The long term (10-year) trend is downward, extremely bad if you would have invested on hold it. The top here is over €30!! 10-years ago. We see as well that the trade volume is increasing the last 2-3years  The 1-year chart shows an upward trend, a lot of volume since the start of the year! My question right now is if this is a turnaround and if we will have trend break! Normally you stop here, because it is already now looking bad, but for learning purp
