Approximately in the middle at the moment!  The 1-year development was +29% , and the 3-year and 5-year was +130% and +167% respectively.  Good sign ✅ The long-term chart (from 2014 onward) shows that in mid-January the stock started to climb and since then the t

Concrete from Heidelberg - boring business or?

Image
❌✅✅✅✅ Today's biggest loser on the German DAX30 Exchange was Heidelberg Cement Group! Heidelberg is a smaller town south of Frankfurt, famous for its research and closeness to several university campuses such as four Max Planck institutes. HeidelbergCement AG though is a multinational building materials company such as concrete (#2 producer in the world in concrete) and asphalt. The company is immense with 57.000 employees and 3.000 production sites. The price closed today at €74.60 , -4.04% today, the 52-week high was €81.04 and the 52-week low was €38.83! At the moment, the stock price is too close to the high mark, so I wait! ❌ The 1-year development has been +87% , the 3-year is -7% , the 5-year and 10-year are +1% and +58% ! Interesting, if you held the stock for 10-years, you would have made an upside of +50%, excluding dividends!  Let's look how the long term trend looks like in a chart We see a long-term trend, which found some kind of support in the €40 mark, and

CompuGroup - today's loser, tomorrow's ...

Image
✅✅✅✅✅ German CompGroup was today's biggest loser on the German MDAX (Mid-Cap Exchange) with -11.47% . This is what caught my attention and to look at the company closer. CompuGroup develops and sells software and solutions for the healthcare sector worldwide. It operates in four segments: Ambulatory, Pharmacy, Hospital, and Consumer&Health Management Information System. So more or less all kinds of IT solutions for supporting hospitals, doctors, and everything around it! The closing price today €64.85 , the 52-week high was €85.40 and the 52-week low was €62.70 - today it was a short time below €60, but I didn't get any. The last years have been very good for CompuGroup On the 1-y, 3-y, 5-y, and 10-y were all positive with +4% , +70% , +102% and +565% The long-term (10-year) chart should like good, so let's have a look This is how an awesome chart should look like, a very steady upward trend✅ So who is the major stockholder , if any We see that the Gotthardt Famil

Morphosys AG - BioTech fighting cancer

Image
✅✅✅✅✅ Morphosys is a global biotech company that develops and commercializes therapeutic antibodies for patients suffering from cancer and autoimmune diseases. They have over 100 drugs in its wider pipeline, with many partnerships with other pharma and biotech companies. The closing price today was at €71.04 , the 52-week high was €125.20, and the 52-week low at €71.62, this means we are almost spot on the low - may be a good opportunity? How has the development been in the last years... The 1-year and 3-year are down with respective -26% and -18% , while the 5-year and 10-year development is up with +66% and +258%!  ✅ What does the 10-year chart look like Looks pretty good - I see a long upward trend which now almost is down and touches and the support level. A high peak at the end of 2019 at ~€125, not that long ago, and even the Corona crash is not that visible like in other companies A view on the holders' list shows that there is no majority holder (or strong owner)

Nordex - Wind Turbines

Image
❌✅✅❌ Nordex SE (SE=Societas Europeae, which is the Latin name for "European Company") develops, manufactures, and distributes multi-megawatt onshore (wind turbines located on land) wind turbines worldwide! On top of selling products and projects, it offers services such as maintenance, remote monitoring, spare parts, and repair for wind farms.  The stock price today closed at €20.90 , the 52-week high was €29.20 and the 52-week low was €6.80! We see that we are much closer to the high than the low! ❌ How as the development the last 1-y, 3-y, 5-y and 10 years The 1-year development was +213% , 3-year +148% , 5-year -1% and 10-year +242%! So the majority of the gain has come the last year! How does the long-term chart (10years) say us We see a previous peak in 2016 up at around €32, a slow upward trend since 2013, and some kind of support at ~€6-€7, which the stock bounced back from in 2018 and 2020! Since the end of 2020, it has started to climb its second peak!  Who are t

Image
❌✅✅✅✅  Covestro AG is a spin-off of Bayer AG and was put on the German Stock Exchange in 2015. Covestro is the world market leader in creating high-performance plastics (also known as a polymer). High-performance plastics differ from standard plastic primarily by their temperature stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical properties.  The main industries served are automotive manufacturing, electronics, construction, and home products, and sports and leisure, sounds like they are everywhere in our lives!  The stock closed today at €55.86 , and the 52-week high was at €63.24, and the 52-week low at €23.54, this means we are closer to the high than the low.  ❌ The 1-year, 3-year and 5-year development has been +79% , -27% and +58% ! The long-term chart , i.e. 5-years It looks like that the downward trend since end-2017 was broken in June 2020 and has continued its way upward The 1-year chart confirms the upward trend, see below! Shareholders: The biggest shareholder is No

EAF - Graftech - well positioned

Image
Graftech manufactures and sells graphite electrodes . Graphite electrodes are the main heating element used in an electric arc furnace, a steelmaking process where scrap from old cars or appliances is melted to produce new steel. Needle coke is the main raw material used in electrodes that producers say can take up to six months to make with processes including baking and breaking to convert the coke into graphite. Graftech owns both in-house and has integrated (vertically) them into their processes.  Graftechs ticker symbol is EAF ( E lectric A rc F urnaces) and is traded on the New York Stock Exchange The 52-week high was $13.04 and the 52-week low $5.56, and the current stock price is at $12.72 , very close to the 52-week high! The entry point might not be perfect now! ❌ The 1-year performance is +60% and -18% since its IPO in 2018 ! The long-term chart gives us more information It is clear that Graftech is in a downward trend since July-August of 2019, there seems to be a
